Free Sewing Pattern for Stuffed Animal

To help get you started, we would love you to try this FREE sewing pattern for a stuffed animal, our Mini Bear. It is a lovely hand sewn project that can be made with a very small amount of fabric. Ideally, it is made from felt which is an ideal fabric to use. Some of the benefits of using felt:

• felt does not fray at the edges
• felt is easy to handle
• felt comes in a multitude of colours and designs
• felt is really easy to buy and is a great fabric to work with.

If you have bought one of our felt sewing kits, there will be enough scraps of fabric left over to be able to make a Mini Bear.

If you don't have any felt it can be made with any other fabric. Most other fabrics will fray at the edges if not turned under so the best way to stop this would be to use an iron-on interfacing on the wrong side of the fabric. If you use felt, this will not be necessary.
